My first day at school was when I was six.We started five minutes- walk with my younger sister,my mother and our friends and their mothers, totally nine people were headed to our village-school.
As it was the first day of school,we were very exited and talked to each other happily.Jumping,humming ,hopping with our mothers by our side ,we arrived to school compound
.
We suddenly kept silent without anyone interruption when we were accepted and welcomed by the teacher with a golden tooth in her front teeth.We were registered and then sent to our reguarded class.
There were three classes but we saw only two teachers..Later on we knew that the golden tooth lady would be our teacher who taught us.She started with a short prayer and called out the name of the student one by one until it's done.I noted that there were fourteen students in our class. The teacher told us to come to school at nine and had the break at twelve noon for lunch and at 1PM the class would start again.
We were taught to sing A B C D E F G -several times and we heard a story about Saw Kay which meant'" crooked" and Saw Bler which meant "straight".After that we were taught our school's motto and came back home exhaustedly.I was fond of going to school the next day but my sister didn't .
